Sworn in on October 28, 2024, as Justice of the Peace for Jefferson County, Precinct 8—Kalan Gardner brings faith, fairness, and a community-first approach to the bench. He has served with distinction as President of the Port Arthur NAACP, where his leadership in community service has been pivotal in promoting justice, equity, and civil rights, earning numerous awards and honors. Additionally, Kalan was appointed to the Port Arthur Police Advisory Board, where he provides trusted guidance to help build bridges between law enforcement and the community. As an active member of the Port Arthur Industrial Group (PAIG), he advocates for local economic development and industrial opportunities. Furthermore, Kalan has inspired countless young athletes as a former motivational little league football and baseball coach, instilling excellence, discipline, and encouragement.
